DO I HEAR THE “AHHHHHHH!!!!”?
Yes! Woofy Nanny’s logo IS WN’s very own Woofy. On this note, I would like to extend special thanks to Yuki Chong of Creamy Visual Communications (www.creamy.com.sg) for the fantastic work she did on developing this logo.
Woofy Nanny has two woofies – Dumbo the cocker spaniel and Flapper the blonde Golden-Labrador-Mix. As mentioned in the earlier sections, WN was inspired by her own woofies and Dumbo being the key muse. So here’s a little write-up about WN’s expanding brood!
Dumbo, English Cocker Spaniel, 8 years old, adopted in April 2005.WN’s brother found an ad on Yahoo! Classified of two English Cocker Spaniels up for adoption. He called, went to the place and found Dumbo and his sister locked up in a store room. One heck of a dog and loads of mischief those curly ears. Dramatic too. Sheer entertainer and the gem of WN’s family. Spoilt? Absolutely!
Introducing Woofy Nanny’s Expanding F-Brood
#1: Flapper, Golden-Labrador-Mix, 5 years old, adopted in June 2007.
Date of Birth: 25-September-2006
This is WN’s dog. I will not go through his adoption history but one thing for sure, he was a handful at eight months when WN adopted him. Heck of a destroyer, restless, crazy and knew no basic commands. The only thing that was great about him, housebreaking was not a problem. And some 2 years later, people look at Flapper and say, “… but retrievers are born to be so good!” Believe me…. THEY ARE NOT BORN “THIS WAY”. And if you think he’s “perfect”? No, he’s not. If WN wants a “perfect” dog, she will go buy a stuff toy. He’s got his ‘moments’ and does get into trouble now and again… and that’s dogs.
Flapper works along side and goes on woofy-adventures with WN. Apart from being a woofy social butterfly, Flapper works with WN on community projects as well otherwise known as Animal Assisted Activities.
#2 & #3: THE CATS! Fluffy (male) and Frappe (female), 1 year old, siblings adopted in August 2010.
